Gunked up

tried to fried eggs tonight but was dissuaded by the sight of my gunked up stove.

the best way—someone told me before—to clean up tough caked on burners and grates is with ammonia, a colorless gas, that if mixed with lowly water would create a super powerful cleaning solution.

i used to be annoyed by art people raving about how rembrandt is the truth.  all i saw were just white ruffs and bright faces, as if lit from within, and really, really dark, airless backgrounds.

nothing says more truthful about my life now than these deep dark browns and blacks raging on top of my stove and no radiant light coming out from the burners.
